My Background

My passion for health began in early childhood when I became obsessed with the idea of becoming a pediatrician. I absolutely loved kids and was interested in science from day one. While studying neuroscience in college, I was fascinated by the brain’s powerful influence on our physical and mental health and the psychological component of wellness. When I experienced my own personal health journey years later, I knew that I had the knowledge and motivation to make some major lifestyle changes. After taking my health into my own hands – learning more, diving deeper, taking the steps (big and small) – I discovered the power that nutrition, physical activity and stress management can have on an individual’s energy, happiness and overall health.

Becoming a mother further enhanced my passion for and commitment to healthy living and personal wellness. Going through pregnancy and postpartum was a transformational time for me, as I was learning first-hand how my diet and lifestyle choices were impacting my physical health, my mental health, and my babies’ wellbeing. I desperately wanted to know what to do to increase my energy, feel nourished and strong, and where to turn for support so that I could show up better as a mom. I had so many questions, so much uncertainty, and unfortunately, no resources to turn to.

This desire to learn more and dive deeper into nutrition inspired me to earn my Master’s degree in Nutrition Education, followed by advanced coaching certifications in Integrative Nutrition and Hormone Health. From there, I received my Specialist in Prenatal Nutrition certification, undergoing in-depth prenatal nutrition training through the Institute for Prenatal Nutrition under Lily Nichols, RDN.

I am proud to have earned the Certified Nutrition Specialist® credential (CNS®), the most advanced certification for personalized nutrition practitioners. Certified Nutrition Specialists are trained in science-based personalized medical nutrition therapy that follows a person-centered approach to nutrition science, education and clinical care.

I believe that all women deserve to have the resources and support to make the best health decisions for themselves and their families.  I am so excited to share my passion and nutritional expertise with women so they feel empowered and confident in motherhood.
